2014 Sight Module
2014 CALLERLAB Convention, Reno (Sparks), NV Sight and Module Resolution System Moderator, Barry Clasper and Panelist, Dottie Welch. This panel will discuss the new “Sight and Module Resolution Systems” document prepared by the Choreographic Applications Committee, Caller Training Committee and Caller-Coaches Committee. Sight Calling is one tool in a bag of tools used by callers to create smooth, danceable and interesting choreography. While it is at times a very necessary tool, too much dependence on it can sometimes result in a very unsatisfactory tip. There are times when preplanned or modular material is the only safe route to follow. A caller’s choreographic management tool bag should contain some pre-planned sequences, some modules, Isolated Sight, and at least one unlimited sight resolution system.
